Buenos Aires, November 22 (NA) – The legend of Argentine boxing, Oscar Natalio 'Ringo' Bonavena, will have his own mural in Parque Patricios.
The work, which is being erected between Avenida Caseros and Avenida Jujuy, will be inaugurated on November 26 at 19:00, although it can already be seen partially finished from the public street.

With this tribute, the neighborhood adds a new recognition to one of the great icons of Argentine sport. In addition, specialized media considered him the best heavyweight in the world in 1968 and 1970.
This mural will join the statue located a few meters from the Huracán stadium and will be added to the list of recent tributes to 'Ringo', which also include his Netflix series 'Ringo: Glory and Death' and the film 'I Am Ringo'.
For the neighbors of Parque Patricios, Bonavena's presence in the streets of the neighborhood continues to be part of the local identity. Many of them remember him not only for his nights of glory in the ring, but also for his closeness to people and his unmistakable style, which made him a beloved character beyond boxing.
The mural seeks to recover that bond and keep the figure of an idol who transcended generations alive.
Bonavena, Argentine heavyweight champion in 1965 after defeating Gregorio 'Goyo' Peralta, starred in two historic fights against Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali.
